Workshop Technician Machinist Swindon £40,000pa - £42,000pa 9 day fortnight Are you an apprentice trained Workshop Technician who can machine using a manual lathe and TIG weld who is interested in working a 9 day fortnight? MARS is working with a specialist manufacturer in the Swindon area is who is looking to recruit a Workshop Technician responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and testing their impressive systems. The Workshop Technicians duties include precision machining, fabrication, and hot works such as MiG/TiG welding and brazing. If you re a Machinist who can weld, or a multi-skilled apprentice trained Workshop Technician, who enjoys variety in their job role, then this is definitely the career move for you. About you: The successful Workshop Technician will be a Time Served Machining Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Fitter (City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent). Experience Minimum 3 years post Apprenticeship in a similar role. Manufacturing components and assemblies for commercial sale. Welding / brazing (advantageous) Manual machining of components using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc. ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacture components. Proficient with measuring instruments( micrometres, vernier callipers). Good working knowledge of Standards, limits and fits. Mig / Tig welding would be advantageous Strong practical problem-solving skills Driving Licence. Our client is ..... full job details .....
