Now Hiring: Senior Workshop Machine Operative Location: Huntingdon Salary: £36k Contract Type: DAYS Shift Pattern: Monday - FridayAbout the role: Working as part of the workshop team you will use your engineering skills and knowledge to manufacture items that meet customer requirements using conventional machine shop equipment and support the wider team with your knowledge. Ideally you will have machine shop experience and or qualifications and would be willing to learn additional skills within the department. WE are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.Key Requirements Ability to use general workshop equipment such as bandsaw, lathe, vertical mill and guillotines Engineering / machine shop experience or qualificationAbility to follow verbal and/or written technical instructions.Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures and general instructions Attention to detail and qualityCare and patience towards dealing with fragile and delicate materialsExperience of using computer systemsProactive and positive attitudeStrong communication and team working skillsAbility to retrieve field information, such as dimensions and angles, without supervision.Ability to interpret and follow sketches and patterns for cutting and fabricating.Basic knowledge of metals, materials, polymers or ceramics is an advantage Bottom of Form Great benefits: 22 days Annual Leave, rising to 25 Company-funded private healthcare Company pension 5% employer contribution Critical ..... full job details .....
