About the team This is an exciting opportunity to Join Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service''s - Technical Services - Operational Support department. Operational Support is a key area of Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue''s Technical Services department. They hold the responsibility for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of firefighting and rescue equipment alongside breathing apparatus and ancillary equipment to enable front line crews to provide an effective operational response. About the role This is a fast paced and often reactive environment, dependant on operational incidents, therefore you''ll need to be able to work under pressure, be able to work as part of a team and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload. Typically, you will be: Ensuring that HFRS operational equipment is inspected and serviced at the correct intervals and is fit for operational use. Using computerised systems for maintaining records of all equipment inspections, tracking, tracing and managing of assets. Servicing, maintaining and repairing HFRS equipment both at Operational Support Workshop''s and other locations as necessary i.e. fire stations.
