Position: Workshop Technician
Location: Hampshire
Rate: -17.50 - -21.00 per hour DOE

Workshop Technician required for a well-established specialist automotive company based in Hampshire. The company has extensive experience within the historic vehicle sector and specialises in parts manufacture and supply, vehicle restoration, servicing, rally preparation and vehicle sales. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, with experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles. Experience working with classic, vintage, retro or race vehicles would be highly advantageous.

Workshop Technician Job Overview

• Working within a small, highly skilled workshop team specialising in historic and vintage vehicles
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and general mechanical work on vintage vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and identifying appropriate repair solutions
• Undertaking restoration and rally preparation work as required
• Reporting vehicle issues and faults clearly and accurately
• Working across a varied range of vehicles and projects, with no two days being the same
• Maintaining high standards of quality control, accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Completing required production control records, including timesheets and inspection records
• Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are followed

Workshop Technician Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years'' experience in a similar vehicle technician or mechanical role
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Confident undertaking mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Strong practical/manual mechanical ability
• Ideally experienced working with classic, vintage, retro or race vehicles
• Multi-skilled vehicle technician with a strong mechanical engineering bias
• Genuine interest in historic and vintage vehicles would be highly advantageous
• Based within a commutable distance of Petersfield

Workshop Technician Salary & Benefits

• -17.50 - -21.00 per hour DOE
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
• 28 days holiday
• Pension
