Workshop Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a permanent basis. 

Summary of the Workshop Supervisor role…

Salary: up to £52,000 
Job Location: Biggleswade
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hour working week, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities of the Workshop Supervisor

• Lead and support the Workshop team, providing training, guidance, and hands-on technical assistance when needed.
• Manage workshop administration, including job planning, estimates, and ensuring smooth job card flow through to invoicing.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health, and safety, ensuring workmanship meets the expectations of a leading manufacturer.
• Collaborate with engineers and management to identify skills gaps, implement improvements, and support continuous development.
• Drive customer satisfaction by fostering positive relationships, resolving issues proactively, and contributing ideas to improve processes and service delivery.

Requirements for a successful Workshop Supervisor

• Relevant technical qualifications or completion of an apprenticeship, with strong skills in electrical and hydraulic systems, including the ability to read schematics.
• Proven experience applying technical expertise in a similar workshop or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team and work effectively at all levels.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure, using initiative to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and overseas as required, and commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
