Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Workshop Service Engineer to join a global manufacturing organisation based in Peterborough. Qualifications

Essential:

• Strong engineering background in specialist vehicles or machinery
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Hands-on experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
• Experience working with high-value capital equipment
• Understanding of IC engines, hydraulic, and auto-electrical systems
• Good IT skills (Microsoft packages)

Desirable:

• Formal training in vehicle or agricultural equipment
• Electrical and hydraulic qualifications
• Recognised engineering qualifications

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair of sweepers, spreaders, airport support equipment, and mowing machinery
• Complete refurbishment and accident damage repairs
• Undertake warranty work and associated documentation
• Perform body building and welding tasks where required
• Accurately complete all administrative tasks including job sheets and parts requests
• Coordinate effectively with the Service Desk to manage workload
• Attend customer sites across the UK for repairs (occasional overnight stays required)
• Provide support to other UK locations when required
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet deadlines and targets
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold company values

Requirements

As a Workshop Service Engineer, you will also be expected to:

• Be a proactive and adaptable individual
• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
• Be well organised with strong time management skills
• Build strong relationships internally and externally
• Show flexibility with working hours (45 hours during peak periods)
• Commit to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service
