Workshop Operative

Are you a reliable and hands-on individual looking to join a growing, supportive team? Our client in Chatteris is expanding and seeking a Workshop Operative to become a key part of their production department on a permanent basis.

Main Duties

• Read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings
• Assist with folding flashings using a press brake
• Cut materials using a guillotine prior to folding
• Support the fabrication and assembly of products
• Work as a proactive workshop operative to maintain high production standards

Skills & Experience

• A reliable and conscientious work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling in a fast-paced environment
• Good alpha/numerical skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to learn and be trained across different tasks – ideal for a motivated workshop operative

Pay

Monday to Friday 

£28,000 - £32,000
