Pay Rate: -16 - -18.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Fitters to join our clients -team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and preparation of used and new plant machinery, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures, quality requirements, budgets, and health and safety regulations.
Key Performance Indicators
- Complete workshop jobs within agreed timescales.
- Achieve workshop jobs within allocated budget hours.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, servicing, and overhauls on used plant machinery.
- Prepare used and new machinery for sale in accordance with approved specifications.
- Undertake mechanical work on new-build machines.
- Accurately document and report all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
- Requisition parts within approved budgets as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working as a Workshop Fitter, Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with plant machinery or heavy equipment.
- Ability to work from job instructions and technical specifications.
Authority
- Authorised to requisition parts within agreed and approved budgets.
