Workshop Engineer

Workshop Engineer Location: Xylem Water Solutions and Services (WSS) Rental Facility, Grantham The Workshop Engineer is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and preparation of rental assets within the Grantham Rental Facility. This includes electric submersible pumps, diesel-driven pumps, associated pipework, control equipment, and ancillary rental equipment. The role is critical in ensuring rental assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational readiness, supporting customer requirements and service delivery across the business. Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Repair Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on: Electric submersible pumps Diesel-driven pumps Electric motors Control panels and associated rental equipment Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently. Conduct routine preventative maintenance in accordance with company procedures. Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer specifications. Asset Preparation and Testing Prepare and inspect equipment for customer hire and delivery. Perform operational testing and quality checks prior to dispatch. Complete equipment inspections upon return from hire. Certify equipment as fit for service following maintenance and testing activities.
