Workshop Engineer – Plant Equipment

Salary: £17 – £22 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Hours: 45 hours per week + OT available

NEOS engineering are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Engineer to join our client''s close-knit team of engineers at their Swadlincote depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong plant or heavy equipment background who is looking to take ownership of workshop-based repairs while also supporting occasional site work during peak periods.

The Role:

• Manage and carry out workshop repairs and maintenance on a range of plant machinery
• Coordinate parts in and out, working closely with the office team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Assist mobile engineers as a second man when required
• Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency
• Uphold high standards of health and safety at all times

Requirements:

• Experience in the plant or heavy equipment sector is preferred
• Qualifications are not essential – we value hands-on experience and time served in the industry
• Must be a team player with the ability to take initiative
• Willingness to support site work as needed
• Good communication skills, especially when liaising with office staff
