Position: Workshop EngineerLocation: Manningtree, EssexSalary: 34,000 - 36,000 per annumWorking Arrangement: Site basedEmployment Type: PermanentThe Workshop Engineer position is required in Manningtree for our client, a specialist manufacturing business operating within the composites and engineering machinery sector. This is a hands-on role suited to a practical engineer who can maintain and repair workshop machinery, manufacture small components and tooling, and support the smooth running of day-to-day operations.The successful candidate will have a broad general engineering skill set, with experience using conventional machine tools such as lathes and milling machines. Previous experience working with composites is advantageous but not essential.Workshop Engineer Job OverviewCarrying out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on workshop machinery and manufacturing equipment.Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out practical repairs and adjustments to minimise equipment downtime.Operating conventional machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, to manufacture or modify small components.Fabricating small components and producing tooling to support workshop and production requirements.Using bandsaws, pillar drills, hand tools and other general workshop equipment safely and effectively.Taking accurate measurements using verniers, micrometers, depth gauges and other relevant measuring equipment.Supporting general workshop upkeep, equipment checks and the ..... full job details .....
