Workshop Assistant

Careermakers Recruitment are looking for a Workshop Assistant for our ever-growing client based in the heart of Normanton, WF6. Key Responsibilities: Assist fabricators with general workshop duties Support operation of machinery including press brake (under supervision) Carry out sanding, drilling, and basic finishing tasks Move, load, and organise aluminium and steel materials around the workshop Prepare materials and components for fabrication Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment Assist with unloading deliveries and storing stock correctly Follow instructions to support efficient production flow Candidate Requirements: Previous experience working within a fabrication department is essential Experience handling aluminium and steel materials is required Comfortable with manual, hands-on work in a workshop environment Good understanding of basic fabrication processes Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team Flexible with working hours and willing to undertake overtime when required Strong awareness of health and safety practices Working hours will be Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm, with a pay rate of 12.80 per hour depending on experience. ..... full job details .....
