Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Workshop Assembly Operative to join a well-established agricultural engineering company based in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long-term employment, with full training provided and the chance to develop practical skills in a workshop environment.
We will also be holding an open day, giving you the opportunity to visit the site, see the workshop, and find out more about the role before applying.

The Role
Assisting with the assembly of irrigation systems and farm machinery
Working on hose reels, including basic assembly and preparation
Supporting pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and basic servicing of equipment
Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery
Assisting engineers and technicians with general workshop duties
Using hand and power tools
Loading, unloading, and moving materials within the workshop
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We''re Looking For
A practical, hands-on approach
Previous experience in a labouring, warehouse, or assembly role (advantageous but not essential)
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic understanding of tools and machinery
Desirable:
Previous assembly or mechanical experience
Forklift licence or Tractor licence
Experience using hand and power tools
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00
Friday: 08:00-16:30
