The successful candidate will oversee the safe delivery of civils works while remaining hands-on and actively involved in site operations.The project includes alterations to existing cable troughs, construction of vehicle crossings, concreting works, bollard installation, and reinstatement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor with substation experience looking for long-term work, with additional projects expected to follow.Key Responsibilities- Supervising and coordinating site operatives to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently- Leading daily site activities while maintaining a hands-on approach- Ensuring compliance with National Grid procedures and site safety requirements- Managing work around existing services and within an operational substation environmentOverseeing civil engineering activities including:- Cable trough alterations- Vehicle crossing construction- Concrete works- Bollard installations- Reinstatement works- Conducting site briefings and maintaining high health and safety standards- Liaising with the principal contractor, site management team, and project stakeholdersEssential Requirements- Current National Grid Competent Person ..... full job details .....
