Working Foreman

Overview

Gilmartins is a family owned and run business; our staff are valued and our ethos is to promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves so have a ''hands-on'' understanding of the work we do.We work in social housing providing Void refurbishments for local authorities and housing associations. Gilmartins are looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman who has a multi trade background as the work will involve overseeing each property as well as snagging, carrying out minor repairs (changing locks, replacing toilet seats) as required.Responsibilities

Managing Reactive Repairs including carrying out site surveys, managing tasks / trades / materials, snagging, finishing off minor repairs, changing locksWorking across North London and surrounding areas including Islington, Haringey and Hackney.Carry out property works validationsRun and manage sitesInspect completed jobsMaintain and promote quality and Health and Safety on siteSummary of Required Skills

Previous experience in social housing managing is essentialGood understanding of SOR codesDeadline driven with effective time management skillsExcellent organisation skillsHigh attention to detailPeople management skillsAbility to communicate at all levels with all stakeholdersAbility to multitask and prioritise workloadIT literateRequirements for Job
