About the Role

Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting a Working Supervisor / Foreman for a permanent role covering the Hertfordshire area.

Our client is a well-established building contractor and, due to continued growth, is expanding its team. They undertake projects across multiple sectors of construction, with a particular focus on listed buildings and heritage works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise site operatives and subcontractors to ensure contract objectives are met.
• Plan, organise, and monitor daily and weekly site activities.
• Oversee works on site, ensuring they are completed to specification and programme requirements.
• Work from drawings to coordinate and manage site operations.
• Take ownership of company, client, and contract processes.
• Support the Contracts Manager and Surveyor in the day-to-day running of projects.

Health & Safety

• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of staff, subcontractors, and third parties.
• Conduct regular toolbox talks and maintain site compliance.
• Promote safe working practices across all projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience within construction site supervision.
• Carpentry or groundworks background beneficial but not essential.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, and/or listed building projects preferred.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and site coordination.
• Full UK Driving Licence (company van provided).
