Working Carpentry Foreman

The role & about the client:
 
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Working Carpentry Foreman to join a reputable fast pace construction company based in Dorset for a duration of 6-7 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing construction project
• Leading a team of carpenters to ensure high quality project delivery
• Working on site, combining supervision with hands on work
• To help with direct deliveries, clean and maintain the site, close and open the site 
• Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. 
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth project operations 
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed on site. 
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities on site 
• Allocate tasks and ensure efficient use of labor and materials. 
• Monitor work and ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment. 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience as a Working Foreman within construction industry.
• Proven carpentry background 
• Experience with fit out projects
• Experience and able to manage a gang of people
• Strong knowledge of construction process, safety procedures and relevant regulations. 
• To be hands on and working on site
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, plans and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills 
• Hands of experience with construction tools and equipment
• Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks.
• Relevant tickets- SMSTS and First Aid
