This business makes high quality wooden framed products at scale, supplying hundreds of outlets across the UK, and the Wood Mill Manager sits right at the centre of that operation, responsible for every frame that goes into production.This is a business with real scale and real heritage. It is not a business that is standing still, and this role has been created to bring stronger leadership and structure to the wood mill as it grows.The role as Wood Mill Manager you will:Take full ownership of the wood mill, covering cutting, machining, assembly and frame preparationHit production targets on volume, quality and delivery, building the plans that get you thereLead the wood mill supervisor and wider team, setting clear expectations and holding people accountableDevelop people so the department has strength in depthWork closely with production and design teams to cut down on defects and rework, using data to drive consistencyTake responsibility for health and safety across the wood millControl costs, from timber and material usage to machinery uptimeDrive continuous improvement, bringing lean principles into the department and reporting on waste monthlyThe person to be considered for this Wood Mill Manager ..... full job details .....
