Wireman

We''re seeking an experienced Wireman for a contract role in the East and West Midlands. This is a daily rate position paying -320 per day, with mileage paid. The role involves working standard site hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the majority of work taking place in HV (High Voltage) substation environments. A strong understanding of safety is essential due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Wiring & Electrical Work: Execute all aspects of wiring from provided drawings, including the use of red and green lining.

• Cable Containment: Install all forms of cable containment systems.

• Earthing Duties: Perform earthing tasks, including brazing and cad welding.

• Fitting Works: Undertake various fitting tasks at both ground level and at height.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications, certifications, and skills:

• NGED Authorisation: Must be NGED Authorised to OPS2b, with the ability to receive PTW''s (Permit to Work) and LOA''s (Limitations of Access).

• IPAF Licence: A valid IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) license is required.

• Electrical Qualifications: Possess recognised electrical qualifications.

• First Aid Certification: Hold a current First Aid certificate.

• Personal Equipment: Must have your own vehicle and tools.

Health and Safety Risks: The role involves working in a high-risk environment within HV substations. All candidates must be highly aware of and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
