Wire Person/Fitter

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading aerospace operation in Yeovil specialising in the manufacture and support of safety-critical aerospace systems, including Environmental Control Systems, Life Support Systems, Hydraulics Systems and Control and Data Systems. I am looking for an experienced Fitter / Wireman to join their day-shift manufacturing team, carrying out the assembly, wiring and testing of aerospace equipment to exacting engineering, customer and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fitter / Wireman with mechanical fitting and aerospace wiring experience to work within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. You will work as part of an empowered team, ensuring equipment is manufactured and delivered on time while maintaining the required quality and safety standards. As a Fitter / Wireman, your responsibilities will include:Producing aerospace products in accordance with engineering drawings and manufacturing instructionsCarrying out mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support and Environmental Control Systems equipmentCompleting aerospace wiring activities, including soldering to J standardCarrying out crimping to IPC processing requirementsUndertaking pressure testing as requiredInterpreting engineering drawings, process layouts and associated manufacturing documentationCarrying out Operator Control of Quality (OCQ), including confirming assemblies meet the required quality and customer standardsEnsuring work ..... full job details .....
