Windows Engineer

A DV cleared Windows Engineer is required for a long term contract on site in Stevenage. Skillset/experience required: Must hold DV clearance. Experienced Windows Engineer, must be a generalist with ability to work comfortably across both Infrastructure and Workplace. Hands on skills and in-depth expertise across Windows Server, Windows OS, and Desktop Applications, Virtualisation Platforms including VDI, Storage Solutions, AD and Access Management. Knowledge of networking principles, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Overview of department: Digital Excellence function providing IT Services to the business. Responsibilities: Provide operational BAU support, administration and configuration management across Infrastructure and Workplace Windows Environments in restricted secret and above networks. Responsible for maintaining a good working knowledge of the business IT environment. Planning and coordinating maintenance and patching across the Windows Environments in restricted secret and above networks. Access and implement changes to the restricted Windows Environment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Creation, maintenance and audit of inventory information and asset registers as required. Creation, maintenance and review of comprehensive, high-quality documentation as required. Creation and maintenance of standard problem resolution and fix documentation, to ensure any technical knowledge bases are kept are up to date.
