Production Operative - Manufacturing
Reporting to: Production Manager
Location: On-site
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Total break time: 45 minutes per day
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assisting in the production of high-quality sliding sash windows while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and ready to begin work in your assigned area.
- Carry out production tasks with a Right First Time, On Time, Every Time approach.
- Assist in the manufacture of sliding sash window products, following company processes and work instructions.
- Operate machinery safely and in accordance with training and procedures.
- Report any machinery issues or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Manager.
- Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
- Maintain company quality standards at all times.
- Complete performance and system documentation accurately and within required timescales.
- Work to agreed productivity and efficiency targets.
- Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
- Follow all Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
- Take a flexible approach to supporting all areas of the production process as required.
- Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management, including occasional duties outside normal responsibilities or working hours.
- Be willing to lift heavy components when required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous industry or manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to work.
