Production Operative - Manufacturing

Reporting to: Production Manager
Location: On-site
Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Total break time: 45 minutes per day

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assisting in the production of high-quality sliding sash windows while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ready to begin work in your assigned area.
• Carry out production tasks with a Right First Time, On Time, Every Time approach.
• Assist in the manufacture of sliding sash window products, following company processes and work instructions.
• Operate machinery safely and in accordance with training and procedures.
• Report any machinery issues or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Manager.
• Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
• Maintain company quality standards at all times.
• Complete performance and system documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Work to agreed productivity and efficiency targets.
• Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
• Follow all Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
• Take a flexible approach to supporting all areas of the production process as required.
• Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management, including occasional duties outside normal responsibilities or working hours.
• Be willing to lift heavy components when required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous industry or manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks.
• A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to work.
