Winder Operator

Are you based in or around Sittingbourne?We have an initially temporary role available within DS Smith''s Paper Mill. The successful applicant will be a good communicator who is proactive, reliable and thrives in a production environment. Role: Operator (Winder/paper machine setter)Location:DS Smith Paper, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TDRate: 39,330.20 per annum Contract length: 3 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position Shift Patterns: X4 on X4 off (this will consist of X2 days, X2 nights, 12 hour shifts)Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks) Responsibilities:Assisting the operation of both windersOperating the auto packing area, conveyor system and auto flight systemPreparing dry end of paper machine Supporting on the paper machine when the winder is not in actionCompleting specified check lists and reports as requiredFollowing appropriate procedures as trained at all timesAdhering to a high level of UK Health and Safety at all timesMaintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the department Essential requirements:Previous experience within a production, machine operation or industrial environmentPrior experience within a paper mill (desirable, not compulsory)Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (compulsory)Strong attention to detail Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety ..... full job details .....
