Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Wheelchair and Mobility Equipment Assistants to join its friendly East Berkshire Specialist Wheelchair Service on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to make a real difference to people s lives. Whether your background is in care, healthcare, maintenance or another hands-on role, we d love to hear from you! You will work alongside Occupational Therapists and experienced technicians, helping to provide specialist wheelchairs and mobility equipment for adults and children with disabilities and complex needs. You must be confident and comfortable using hand tools, such as screwdrivers, and enjoy practical, hands-on tasks. Previous wheelchair experience is beneficial but not essential, as role-specific training and support will be provided. This is a temporary role. Key Responsibilities Support the provision of wheelchairs and specialist mobility equipment in clinics and patients homes, accompanied by an Occupational Therapist.
