Welding Supervisor

Advanced Resourcing are currently representing our client in the Dudley who are currently looking for a Welding Supervisor-to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong-welding and structural welding background to lead a small production team and help maintain quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, coach and schedule a team of fabricators and welders on the shop floor

- Perform TIG/MIG and structural welding (steel/plate, sub-assemblies) as required

- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, CAD prints and welding procedures

- Ensure workmanship meets welding/quality standards and maintain first-off checks

- Monitor productivity, manage shift priorities and report progress to management

- Maintain a safe working environment; enforce COSHH, PUWER and site safety procedures

- Train apprentices and upskill team members; carry out performance reviews

- Assist with materials planning, tooling checks and basic machine setups

Skills & experience required:

- Proven hands-on welding background (MIG/TIG; structural welding experience essential)

- Welding qualifications and certifications (e.g., CSWIP, welding certificates, or equivalent)

- Experience supervising or leading a production/team environment in sheet metal fabrication

- Strong ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols

- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

- CSCS card or willingness to obtain; valid right to work in the UK

Desirable:

- Experience with plasma/laser cutting, press brakes and CNC fold programming

- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001) and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
