Welding and Quality Engineer

Role Purpose The Quality and Welding Engineer is responsible for providing specialist technical assurance of welding, fabrication, and associated inspection activities across the supply chain, assets, and projects. The role acts as a technical authority for weld quality, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements, while also supporting the wider Quality function through management system development, procedure updates, and continual improvement when not deployed on project-specific welding scopes. Key Areas of Responsibility Welding and Fabrication Quality Assurance (Core Role) Authority to issue or co-sign Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required Act as the technical focal point for welding and fabrication quality. Review, technically assess, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR/WPQR), and Welder Qualification Records in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 15614, ISO 9606, ASME IX where applicable). Verify welding documentation complies with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements.
