Client Summary:
A leading name with Rail Freight Haulage Sector

Position Summary:
Welder with Team Leader / supervisory experience - wishing to take the next step within their career and move into a welding co-ordinator role.

Duties include:

* Working with various materials and processes (MIG / TIG / MMA)
* Heavy fabrication and weld repair and overhaul work
* Working from WPS Documentation
* Working from engineering drawings
* Maintain a register of welder qualifications and ensure ongoing compliance with BS EN ISO 9606 standards.
* Organise periodic competence assessments and practical welding tests.
* Arrange requalification testing for welders performing welds on cast steel components per maintenance intervals.


Requirements:
* Ideally completed an apprenticeship in welding, sheet metal work, fabrication, or a similar discipline
* Strong fabrication and welding background
* Experience in Rail (Desired)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Flexibility to work overtime when required
* Experience in understanding and working from a WPS
