Welder

Start People seeking a skilled and reliable Production Welder to join our team in Crook. The role involves the fabrication and welding of handrails and associated metalwork in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a welder with good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

This role is permanent from day 1-

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel components for handrail production
• Fabricate and assemble handrails to drawings and specifications
• Work within a production-based environment to meet daily targets
• Ensure all welds meet required quality and safety standards
• Carry out basic preparation work (cutting, grinding, measuring)
• Conduct visual inspections of own work to maintain quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Follow all company health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in production welding (essential)
• Competent in MIG welding (TIG experience an advantage but not essential)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong reliability and punctuality

Shifts:-

Starting off on a Day Shift whilst training then moving to a 2 shift rotation. (Days & Backs)
