We are hiring a skilled Aluminium Welders.DetailsJob title: WelderJob type: Temporary - OngoingLocation: Eastleigh - Hitachi Rail - Based at Arlington Fleet Works SO50 5ADPay Rate:PAYEDays 23.44 and Afternoon 28.13 per hourUmbrellaDays 31.13 and Afternoon 37.37 per hourShifts:Days: 6.30 am - 3.00pm (Mon - Thur) and 6.30 am - 12.00 (Friday)Backs: 3.00 pm - 11.30pm Mon - Thur and 12.00 pm - 5.30pm (Friday)Key ResponsibilitiesPerform various welding and fabrication tasks, including coded welding, in accordance with WPS, SOPs, and associated documents.Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections, ensuring full accountability for weld quality and correcting issues to the required standard.Prepare weld surfaces, control weld equipment/consumables, and complete all necessary weld records.Support the team by designing and delivering training to colleagues, sharing knowledge, and deputising for the Team Leader when required.Lead problem-solving activities, minimise waste, and participate in Kaizen and 5S improvement activities.Adhere to Health, Safety; Environment procedures, ensure correct extraction is used, and maintain high standards of housekeeping.Essential Skills and QualificationsProven ability to perform coded welding to relevant standards in TIG or MIG with Aluminium.Ability to work unsupervised and make decisive, informed decisions.High level of accuracy, ..... full job details .....
