The Role My client is a well-established engineering manufacturer looking to recruit an experienced Welder to join their production team. Working within a precision engineering environment, you will be responsible for welding a variety of fabricated components and sub-assemblies to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of workmanship and attention to detail, supporting the manufacture of complex engineered products. This is a double day shift position. Key Responsibilities Carry out welding activities in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures and customer specifications. Prepare materials, components and weld surfaces prior to fabrication. Set up, inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Weld carbon steel and stainless-steel components using a variety of welding processes. Work to coded welding procedures and maintain consistently high-quality workmanship. Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards. Record work completed using the company''s ERP system. Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives. The Candidate Time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Welding, Fabrication or a related discipline.
