About the Role
A Welder is required for a contract position based in the City of London, offered through Manpower UK. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30. The position carries a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum. The successful candidate will perform high-quality welding on structural steel, collaborating with site teams to meet programme deadlines. Applicants must hold a valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification and possess proven experience in structural steel and site welding. A strong understanding of site safety is essential, as the role involves working autonomously and supporting on-site activities. Eligibility to work in the UK and an up-to-date CV are required.

Location: Central London
Contract: 12 months (fixed term)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
Requirements:
- Proven experience in structural steel welding / site welding
- Hold a valid:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- Strong understanding of site safety and ability to work autonomously or lead on-site activities
- Eligible to work in the UK
- MUST have an up-to-date CV for interview
Duties:
- Carry out high-quality welding on structural steel
- Work closely with site teams to ensure programme deadlines are met
- Maintain strict health andamp; safety standards on site
- Support and oversee site activities where required
