      <description>Location: Manchester | Salary: &amp;pound;17 - &amp;pound;17.50/hour | Type: Permanent | We’re looking for a  Welder  to join a specialist fabrication business based  Stretford .  This is a role suited to someone with  at least 5 years of welding experience , as you will be carrying out MIG, TIG and stick welding across bespoke fabrication and repair work.   What’s on offer?   	 £17 – £17.50 p/h 	 Mon – Thu | 7:30am – 4pm 	 Fri | 7:30am – 3pm 	 Overtime paid at 1.25x | 1.5x at weekends 	 22 days holiday plus bank holidays 	 Pension contribution    What will you be doing as a Welder?   	 Carrying out MIG, TIG and stick welding on mild and stainless steel 	 Working with materials ranging from 1.5mm to 40mm, with approximately 70% of the work involving mild steel 	 Working from drawings, samples or copies 	 Welding pipework and producing short pipe spools 	 Completing bespoke welding and small fabrication work 	 Building up bearing surfaces ready for finish machining 	 Repairing bearing housings and reinforcing bosses and bushes 	 Repairing brackets, linkages, railings, stairs, fences, doors and water equipment    What will you need?
