The hourly rate is -16.50.- Job Responsibilities Perform welding, inspections, painting and other fabrication duties, as required by business needs.- Fabricate and weld steel sections, brackets and associated components using welding processes.- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, jigs and templates to produce steel sections to specified dimensions and tolerances.- Prepare materials by cutting, bevelling, drilling and fitting sections, plates and stiffeners prior to welding.- Set up welds correctly, including selection of appropriate consumables, parameters and welding sequences for the material and thickness.- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and BS EN 1090 requirements for UKCA-marked structural components.- Play an active role in arranging and carrying out day to day housekeeping rotas.- Maintain dimensional accuracy of fabricated steel sections, including bearing lengths, hole/slot positions and brack...
