Welder Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, working on large products utilising a range of welding techniques and fabrication skills to meet production standards. The ideal applicant will have experience with TIG welding, sheet metal work, and mechanical assembly, contributing to the efficient delivery of high-quality products.

Duties

• Perform Mig &TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily focusing on our welding standards.
• Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
• Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools to prepare materials for welding or assembly processes.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in the development of new fabrication techniques or improvements to existing processes as required.

Skills

• Proficiency in Mig & TIG welding with a strong understanding of our welding standards.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal working, including cutting, bending, and assembling.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision in welds and assembled components.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
