This is a hands-on position working on a variety of sheet metal fabrication projects, supporting the production of high-quality fabricated components and assemblies. This role would suit a Welder with strong MIG welding and fabrication experience who enjoys working from engineering drawings and taking projects through the full fabrication process.Key ResponsibilitiesMIG welding sheet metal and steel sections.Measuring, cutting, folding, fitting, and fabricating metal components.Fabrication of sheet steel and sections ranging from 1mm to 10mm thickness.Operating fabrication machinery including guillotines and press brakes.Carrying out manual cutting using plasma and flame-cutting methods.Modifying, repairing, and fabricating replacement metal components when required.Using a variety of handheld and powered tools to complete fabrication activities.Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards.
