Job Overview

We are looking for skilled and motivated Welder Fabricators to join our growing client in Gillberdyke. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to produce high-quality structures and equipment, working from technical drawings and engineering instructions.

This role will involve working both independently and as part of a production team within a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out welding and fabrication work using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
• Manufacture components and structures to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical plans and instructions
• Cut, shape and prepare materials to required dimensions and thicknesses
• Assemble and weld metal parts and structures
• Operate fabrication tools, machinery and welding equipment safely
• Inspect completed welds using precision measuring equipment
• Carry out repairs or dismantling of metal structures when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in welding and fabrication
• Competent in MIG/GMAW welding
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience using workshop machinery and hand tools
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or heavy equipment industries
• Welding qualifications or fabrication certifications
• Forklift or overhead crane experience (advantageous)
