Interaction Recruitment, on behalf of their client, are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a busy engineering workshop in Rochdale.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working, reliable and skilled Welder/Fabricator looking for long-term, permanent employment with a growing and established manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding and fabricating a range of components and assemblies, working to high standards and in accordance with engineering drawings.

• MIG welding mild steel from 2mm to 10mm
• Fabrication of frameworks and sub-assemblies to a high standard
• Reading and working confidently from engineering drawings
• General engineering workshop duties
• Producing accurate, high-quality work
• Working efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping

• Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator
• Strong MIG welding experience
• Experience welding mild steel between 2mm and 10mm
• Previous engineering workshop experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail
• High standard of workmanship
• Reliable, hardworking and dependable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ideally based in or around Rochdale

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 2:45pm
• 38 hours per week
• £16.00–£17.00 per hour
• 28 days paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
• Full-time, permanent position following a satisfactory probationary period
