This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production environment with consistent work, regular overtime and long-term career prospects. The Role Working from engineering drawings and production schedules, you will be responsible for welding and assembling light gauge steel components used within the construction and manufacturing sectors. Duties will include: MIG welding light gauge mild steel sections and components. Welding brackets, connection plates and fabricated steel assemblies. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Carrying out tack welding and final welds to production standards. Using grinders and hand tools for preparation and finishing work. Inspecting completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
