Welder (Dayshift)Location: Stoke-on-TrentHours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pmWe are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join a well-established sheet metal fabrication company based in Tunstall.The RoleThe successful candidate will be required to work on significant volumes of jig work for sustained periods while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy. You will be responsible for producing fabricated components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesMIG weld mild steel up to 12mm thickness.Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.Measure components and work to specified tolerances.Operate hand tools and air tools safely and effectively.Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain tidy records.Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety.Carry out any other duties required by the Production Team.Required Skills and ExperienceEssentialMinimum 5 years'' MIG welding experience.Fully experienced in MIG welding mild steel up to 12mm.Ability to work from engineering drawings.Competent in accurate measuring and working to tolerances.Skilled in the use of hand and air tools.Strong attention to detail and quality standards.Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently within a manufacturing environment.DesirableTIG welding experience, particularly stainless steel.Experience fabricating bespoke or small-batch items from scratch.Strong fabrication ..... full job details .....
