Location: Balloo HRCHours: Friday - 07:45-17:15 (9hrs)Saturday - 09:00-17:00 (7.5hrs)Sunday - 09:00-17:00 (7.5hrs)30 mins unpaid break each day (24 Hours per week)About the RoleWe''re looking for a reliable, proactive and customer focused Weekend Recycling Attendant to join our team at the Household Recycling Centres. You''ll play a key role in keeping the site safe, clean and efficient, while helping residents recycle responsibly and in line with environmental standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Operations and SecurityOpen, close and secure the Household Recycling Centres at scheduled times as instructed by the Supervisor/Manager.Control access to the site and ensure only authorised users enter.Prevent illegal or commercial misuse of the site and check relevant paperwork where required.Site Cleanliness and MaintenanceKeep the site, staff buildings and surrounding footpaths clean, tidy and safe at all times.Carry out cleansing schedules and ensure waste is stored appropriately.Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment, reporting needs to the Supervisor.Distribute salt/grit during frost, ice or snow to maintain safe access.Equipment Use and MonitoringOperate site machinery such as compactors, wood rollers and cardboard balers.Conduct basic maintenance checks, health and safety inspections and report defects promptly.Ensure supplies for equipment are available by notifying the Supervisor.Customer Support and Waste GuidanceAdvise and assist members of the public ..... full job details .....
