Web Developer

Summary:We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our small web team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of modern web applications across the company''s digital estate. You will balance your time between building brand-new, customer-facing solutions, maintaining our existing websites, and continually developing our bespoke headless CMS built on the Sanity framework.Main ResponsibilitiesWebsite and Application Development:Design, build, and deploy new, high-performance customer-facing websites, applications, and digital solutions.Maintenance and Optimisation:Maintain, debug, and scale existing web properties to ensure a seamless user experience.Deployment and Version Control:Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows to ensure reliable delivery of code.Agile Collaboration:Track tickets and document progress effectively within an Agile framework.Skills/Qualifications/ExperienceCore Web:Highly proficient in HTML5, CSS/SCSS, Javascript and Typescript.Frontend Libraries and Frameworks:Strong commercial experience with the React library, alongside build tools and frameworks like Vite and Gatsby.Data and APIs:Moderate to strong understanding of GraphQL for querying data, particularly within the Gatsby and Sanity ecosystems.Testing: Knowledge of React Testing Library (RTL) and testing tools like Vitest/Jest.Backend and Databases:Strong experience with Node.js and serverless architectures.
