Water Quality Technician

Overview

Water Quality Technician - Southern Water, Kent. This full-time, permanent role involves sampling water, wastewater and sludge at a variety of sites and customer locations in accordance with Drinking Water Inspectorate and Environment Agency regulations. The role supports 24/7 incident response and contributes to company targets related to compliance and service quality. Undertake water, wastewater and sludge sampling in accordance with the sampling schedule and with great care and attention to detail; work independently to follow procedures.Undertake customer sampling and complaint handling.Carry out on-site analytical testing and associated quality checking to ISO17025, DWTS and MCERTS standards.Undertake emergency sampling during incidents and advise on water and wastewater quality issues.Register samples onto laboratory data systems and manage associated administration.Report safety hazards and manage scientific equipment maintenance and fault diagnosis.Assess operational sites for general condition of operation, defects and issues; consider security and health and safety implications.Full driving license required.Package and Benefits
