Position: Water Quality Manager / Water Quality Project Manager WCR 4 BASE Location: 155 Westbourne Terrace, London, W2 6JX Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6+ Months Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: PAYE: £216.47 per day Job Reference: OR(phone number removed) Job Responsibilities Lead the Council s water quality, water hygiene and Legionella compliance programme across the housing portfolio. Act as the Responsible Person for water hygiene or support the Duty Holder in meeting statutory responsibilities. Develop, maintain and implement Water Safety Management Plans, policies, governance frameworks and compliance procedures. Ensure compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and relevant water safety legislation and industry standards. Oversee Legionella risk assessments, monitoring, inspection, testing, sampling and completion of remedial actions. Manage water quality improvement programmes, including tank replacements, booster upgrades, water treatment systems, pipework replacement and Legionella remediation projects. Develop business cases, investment plans and project delivery strategies. Manage consultants, contractors and specialist service providers to ensure safe, compliant and effective delivery. Establish compliance monitoring frameworks, KPIs and performance reporting for senior management. Audit contractor performance, investigate non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
