Water Hygiene Engineer – Closed Systems Experience

Location: Berkshire

Salary: Up to £44,000 DOE + Company Vehicle & Benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join a growing and well-established business operating across the water hygiene and water treatment sector.

This role would suit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, particularly someone with closed system experience and an understanding of closed system water treatment, sampling and dosing.

You will be responsible for carrying out water hygiene and water treatment works across a portfolio of commercial clients throughout London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

The Role

• Carrying out routine water hygiene monitoring and maintenance
• Temperature monitoring and TMV servicing
• Showerhead cleaning and disinfection
• Calorifier inspections and servicing
• Tank inspections, cleaning and disinfection
• Hot and cold-water system monitoring
• Carrying out water sampling in line with relevant procedures
• Completing detailed service reports and recording findings accurately
• Identifying remedial works and providing recommendations to clients
• Carrying out closed system sampling, dosing and monitoring where required

About You

• A minimum of 12 months experience as a Water Hygiene/Treatment Technician/Engineer  
• Ideally, hands-on experience with closed systems, dosing and closed system monitoring
• Good knowledge of hot and cold-water systems
• Able to pass an enhanced DBS
• An understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274 and general Legionella control principles
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
