Water Hygiene Engineer



Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of water hygiene and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in water hygiene services and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional results.



Responsibilities

As a Water Hygiene Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting water sampling and temperature checks to monitor water quality.
  • Performing showerhead descales to prevent the build-up of harmful bacteria.
  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Conducting calorifier blowdowns to remove sediment and maintain system performance.
  • Performing closed system analysis to assess water treatment requirements.
  • Undertaking tank cleans and disinfections to maintain hygiene standards.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Previous experience in water hygiene or a related field.
  • Knowledge of water systems and Legionella control measures.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.


Day-to-Day

Your day-to-day activities will involve visiting client sites to perform water hygiene tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will liaise with clients to provide updates on work completed and offer advice on maintaining water hygiene. Accurate record-keeping and reporting will also be a key part of your daily responsibilities.
