Fire and Flood Restoration Technician (Water Damage) £29,000 - £35,750 per annum Full-Time Permanent Based in Chessington, covering London and Surrey Esteem Services / Disaster Care Home Counties is seeking a motivated Water Damage Restoration Technician to join our team. This role is primarily focused on water damage restoration, escape of water incidents, and structural drying. You will attend residential and commercial properties affected by water ingress, carrying out detailed moisture inspections to determine the extent of damage and develop effective drying strategies. Key responsibilities include taking accurate moisture readings, assessing how water has migrated through building materials and structures, installing appropriate drying equipment, and monitoring progress until industry drying standards have been achieved. This is a practical, hands-on position that also requires strong technical understanding. Successful restoration relies on accurately assessing damage, understanding building construction and material behaviour, selecting the most effective drying methods, and adapting the drying strategy as conditions change.
