Waste Transfer Station Supervisor

Salary: -35,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, between 6am - 6pm

Location: Poole, BH16 6LT

What you''ll be doing;


Leading People:

• Training, developing, and empowering your team to perform at their best
• Championing a proactive safety culture and leading by example
• Managing contractors, site inductions, and visitor hosting
• Conducting daily/weekly plant, equipment, and permit checks
  
  

Delivering for Customers:

• Maintaining and improving operational excellence across the site
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement
• Ensuring compliance with Environmental Permit requirements, ISO standards, and VMR toolkit standards
  
  

Driving Sustainability:

• Managing emergency and abnormal situations including environmental incidents and spillages
• Assisting with waste returns, annual reports, and emissions reporting
• Achieving agreed operational targets for risk, asset availability, and reliability
  
  

What we''re looking for;


Essential:

• Technical background, preferably within the waste management industry
• Business Acumen, Relationship Management & Effective Communication
• Proven experience managing teams and leading others
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Mobile Plant Licence

Desirable:

• NEBOSH Certificate
• CMS
• Level 3 Leadership & Management (or equivalent experience)
• LGV Class 2
• Risk Assessment qualification
