Waste Site Operations Officer Coalville, Lount and Shepshed (Leicestershire) Full-time Field-based 6-Month Initial Contract (Immediate Start)Salary£20.00 - £21.00 per hour (PAYE)Equivalent to LCC Grade 10 (Points 23-26)Potential for higher rate for candidates with strong experience and a valid COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence)Mileage and expenses paid in line with LCC policy (excluding commuting)The OpportunityWe are seeking a hands-on Waste Site Operations Officer to manage and support multiple Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) and Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) across the county.This is a highly operational, field-based role, ideal for someone with strong leadership experience in waste management or a similar environment. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient site operations while supporting and developing site teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support staff across RHWS and WTS locationsConduct HR-related activities including: One-to-ones, return-to-work meetings, and performance reviewsInvestigations into attendance, conduct, and performanceSupporting onboarding and training plansDeliver training through: Toolbox talks and safety briefingsE-learning support and practical coachingDevelop, monitor, and enforce: Safe systems of work and risk assessmentsEnvironmental compliance and waste documentationQuality Management System (QMS) processesEnsure accurate management of waste transfer documentation in line with legal ..... full job details .....
