Waste Operative

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an FLT Waste Operative to work with a client on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch break each day. Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting waste management operations across a busy site environment. This will involve the safe movement of waste materials using a counterbalance forklift truck, as well as assisting with loading, unloading and general site duties. Main Duties: Transfer waste materials around site using a counterbalance forklift truck Load and unload flatbed vehicles Move palletised waste safely and efficiently Carry out manual handling duties as required Operate baler and compactor units following training Assist with general waste management and housekeeping activities Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations Essential Criteria: Valid counterbalance forklift truck licence Previous experience operating a forklift truck in a busy working environment Ability to carry out manual handling duties Good understanding of health and safety procedures Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team Previous waste industry experience advantageous but not essential If your skills match the above criteria, please apply with your up-to-date CV. ..... full job details .....
