Waste Operative

Waste Operative LOCATION: Spirit Aerosystems Belfast SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week PAY RATE: £12.80 per hour Purpose: Play an integral part in delivering effective recycling and waste services; ensuring receptacles are emptied; recyclables are separated to secure best rebate value; and waste services complement rather than disrupt other business activities. Adherence to safe systems of work and maintenance of excellent housekeeping standards. Key Responsibilities Service Provision Review and adhere to safe systems of work, policies and procedures Adhere to a ''clean as you go'' approach Wear PPE as directed and maintain in good condition Decant/empty waste receptacles as required Ensure waste streams are segregated properly Moving waste receptacles to ensure provision in areas of need Coordinate provision of bins, skips and collections by waste contractors Ensure adherence to work schedules Ensure waste management does not disrupt client operations Operate balers and compactors and other equipment (e.g. for cardboard or plastic) Promptly report defects of equipment Complete check sheets as required Maintain excellent housekeeping of all waste areas (including signage and labelling) Support communication and awareness activities as required Liaise with Site Waste Manager to deliver customer satisfaction Personal Development Willingness to attend training programmes as requested.
